General Rules & Terms

The UK Blog Awards® was founded to recognise individuals and companies that develop content on their Blog, Vlog and new for 2018 Digital platforms too.

The awards ceremony is held annually in central London with a mix of Bloggers, Vloggers, Influencers, PR's, Journalists, Celebrities and Brands.

# Entries and Nominations: 2nd October – 20th November 2017 – Entry closes at midnight on the 20th
# Public Vote: 4th December – 22nd December 2017
# Finalists Announced: 2nd January 2018
# Expert Judging Period: 31st January - 16th February 2018
# Awards Evening and Winners Announced: Friday 20th April 2018

Which Category Should I Enter

# An individual Blog is defined as a single or duo Blogger/s. This can be for business or pleasure. You must be the main contributor for your Blog. If your Blog has a large amount of regular guest contributors (more than 5), you must enter as a Company/Organisation.

# A company Blog is defined as a company. But if you are an individual Blogger with more than two authors and more than 5 guest authors, please enter your Blog into the company section. Any size of company can enter into this category, from SME, charities, enterprises to large branded companies and enterprises

The UK Blog Awards cannot accept responsibility for checking all entrants have submitted into the correct category and type. It is your responsibility to enter your Blog into the appropriate category. 

How To Enter

# You can enter your own Blog or Vlog into the UK Blog Awards by completing an entry form via the website
# As well as entering your own Blog, you can nominate other favourite Blogs or Vlogs that you follow
# The entry page will only be live during the entry process
# You will create a username and password and can log into your account at any time before the judging process to edit your profile
# Each entrant will develop their own profile which will be featured on the website during the public voting process. This enables you to market your own content and find other great Blogs and Vlogs across different industries

The Rules of Entry

# The Awards are FREE to enter
# Individual Finalists will receive one FREE ticket to attend the awards evening on Friday 20th April 2018
# Company Finalists will receive one FREE ticket to attend the awards evening on Friday 20th April 2018 if they are a blogger that has entered the awards as a company, due to having more than two guest bloggers on their site and are not a Ltd, Plc or LLP registered company
# Company Finalists who enter as a registered Ltd, Plc or LLP will be required to purchase a ticket to attend the awards. As a finalist the tickets will be subsidised in price
# The blog/ vlog must be live at the time of entry
# The blog/vlog must have regular content for at least three months before the judging period (February 2018)
# The blogger/ vlogger must be over the age of 18 years of age
# The UK Blog Awards is a recognition and connection platform for industry professional influencers. We take your Blog recognition seriously
# The Awards are open to anyone that develops content on their Blog or Vlog – whether it is for enjoyment/personal development, as part of your job, to improve the visibility of your company or as a professional blogger
# In line with the criteria, the UK Blog Awards does not regard social media platforms such as Twitter, Pinterest or Facebook as Blogs. However, Instagram Bloggers may enter the Photography category
# Two entries can be made per Blog or Vlog choosing from two different categories. You may also nominate your favourite UK blogs owned by an individual author or on behalf of a company, as well as Blogs that you guest post on
# Please note, you do not need to nominate your own Blog or gain votes for nomination
# All entries made must be a UK resident or UK registered organisation (n.b. currently based in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland) if they are being entered into any category apart from our newly introduced ‘International Influencer’ category. International candidates will be disregarded unless entering the ‘International Influencer’ Category
# Text blogs, picture blogs and video blogs can all enter the UK Blog Awards
# The UKBA Team reserve the right to publish excerpts and showcase screen shots of entered blogs in relation to the awards
# All entered Blogs will be shortlisted initially by a public vote
# After the Public Vote, the shortlisted blogs will be judged by a panel of respected experts in each industry category
# x8 Shortlisted Individual’s and x8 Shortlisted Companies will be Judged by the professional panel out of the 19 categories, plus our Content of the Year award
# Each shortlisted individual candidate will receive one free ticket to attend the Awards
# Non entered and other industry bloggers are welcomed to attend the Awards to network and celebrate digital content. Tickets will be chargeable and are non-refundable after purchase transaction is complete
# The judges reserve the right to disqualify entries that contain offensive material and reserve the right to modify entries that in their view are entered in an unfitting industry category
# To maintain the integrity of the awards, we would hope all shortlisted individuals and company bloggers would attend the Awards ceremony
# The UKBA team and judges’ decision is final
# All blog entries submitted must be legal

The Public Vote

# You may vote for any individual blog and any company blog once in each of the 19 categories
# Voters will be able to vote off of any mobile device or desktop 
# Voters will be able to vote from one email address for the same Blog once only
# Multiple voting will be discounted

# Recognised as the UK's best individual and/or company Blog
# Opportunity to write for your category sponsor or panel judge
# Prestigious award and badge image for you to display online
# Marketing and PR activity to market your Blog
# Previous UK Blog Awards have gone on to secure jobs, become full time bloggers, gain national press and businesses have gained client wins
