The Royal Mint blog

Blog Overview

The Royal Mint is one of the world’s oldest organisations, having made the coins that we all use every day for more than 1,000 years. On The Royal Mint blog, our aim is to tell the story of an historic British institution in a contemporary and engaging way, bringing to life the stories behind the billions of coins we strike every year, including coins for around 60 other countries across the globe. Storytelling is at the heart of coin-making, from the commemorative coins we strike today to mark significant anniversaries and events, to the historical coins we have struck through the ages - each with their own unique story to tell. As you can imagine, on The Royal Mint blog we have a wide variety of content covering a range of interests. From coin collecting to arts and culture, design, royalty, history and investment; we like to think there’s something for everyone!

Why Vote For Me?

This is the second year that The Royal Mint blog has been entered into the UK Blog Awards and we'd be over the moon to bring home a UK Blog Award in 2017. It would be a fantastic reward for all the hard work our small team has put into The Royal Mint blog throughout 2016. We'd really appreciate your vote!
