Blog Overview

After studying musical theatre, in 2014 I started blogging for the biggest theatre in Birmingham , the Birmingham Hippodrome. Since then my blog has grown massively and I now review for all the theatres in Birmingham/Midlands, Manchester and various London events. As well as my reviews I am consistently interviewing actors, creators and influences. I regularly work with the RSC creating content and interviewing their casts. I attend high profile London events, most recently the birthday celebration of In The Heights, in which I interviewed the cast and reviewed the show. I have conducted interviews both on my blog and youtube channel with the casts of UK touring productions like Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Sound of Music and The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time. I have also interviewed celebrities starring in pantomimes such as Lisa Riley, Joe McElderry, Julian Clary, The Chuckle Brothers and many more. I have even interviewed the iconic Basil Brush! I have now started to take my blogging internationally, as I was flown out to Germany by the Chamaeleon Theatre in Berlin, to visit their theatre, review their newest production and have dinner with their influencers and creatives. Similarly, this year my blog took me to Edinburgh as press to review a multitude of shows over six days. I qualified to attend with the Network Of Independent Critics, which gave me the opportunity to travel and stay in Edinburgh to review a variety of shows. I have also worked closely with the British Council attending their events and interviewing people in the industry, I have attended events such as "Women In The Creative Industries" and "Racial Diversity In The Arts" and spoken to the guest speakers on the panels. As someone with a huge passion for theatre and the arts, I love talking to actors and creatives and discovering incredible shows. My blog has grown tremendously over the past two years and I am excited to see where it takes me next!

Why Vote For Me?

As a consistent reviewer around the Midlands, Manchester and even London, my blog provides a platform for the arts. I have worked with a multitude of theatres, including prestigious theatre companies such as the RSC, where I frequently interview actors and creatives. I have been writing since 2014 and since then my blog has taken me to some fantastic places, such as reviewing at the Edinburgh Fringe for a week and even being flown out to Berlin by the Chamaeleon Theatre. I cover every aspect of theatre from ballet, to opera, to west end musicals and intimate fringe performances. I also attend many events that cover the arts, such as the British Council's 'Women In The Creative Industries' event and 'Racial Diversity In The Arts'. In which I discussed the issues with reputable members of the panel. The arts are my passion and I am incredibly grateful for all the fantastic opportunities my blog has provided me with, and I can't wait to continue to engage with people in the industry and review a diverse range of shows from West End musicals to gripping pieces of fringe theatre.
